Responsibilities:
* Electrical plant is designed for 100% supply redundancy, with a high degree of automotion and systems information.
* The following component are noted:
* 220kV: A220kV250mva GIS is provided with controls linked to Kahramaa National Control Center. as well as the plant-wide Substation Control Nad Monitoring Systems which integrates control and monitoring on most of the plant's othe 33kV,6.6kV and 415V substations.
* 33kV: Two large 33kV GIS substation are linked to the substation Control and Monitoring Systems Transformers.
* In excess of 50 transformers are on site, ranging from 220kV/33kV 220MVA transmission-type transformers to 6.6kV/415V 1MVA distribution type transformers.
* New Transformers are linked on an online Monitoring system that monitors dissolved gas and moisture on the transformers as part of a predictive maintenance strategy, backed up by sophisticated laboratory style dissolved gas analyzers.
* VSDS : The plant boasts the largest installation world wide of 9MVA 3.3kV variable speed drives. These drives are networked to a central server,providing extensive on-line diagnosis and analysis facilities.
* The phase II drives are provided with active rectifier front ends, which support and adaptive DC voltage that is resistant to many network conditions, and allow to pumps to operate uninterrupted under proven voltage dips of up to 80%.
* The drives are design for rapid repair turnaround by experienced and capable staff in the event of a failure.
* Electro chlorination units: Hypo chlorite is generated on site as a biocide, and is develop from seawater electrolysis.
* dry-Type 1MVA and 4MVA transformers provide the front end for high amperage thyristor bridge rectifiers for this purpose.

Requirements:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering or equivalent.
* At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
